County Highway Engineer – Redwood County

Position involves responsible administrative and professional engineering in directing the maintenance and construction of the county road and bridge system. Duties include establishing project priorities, assuring adherence to all standards and regulations, eliciting the cooperation of participating groups and individuals, and supervising the subordinate personnel. Work is performed under the direction of the County Administrator as approved by the Board of Commissioners with wide latitude for independent judgement and action subject to established policy and governmental regulations. County Engineer – Steele County

The County Engineer is responsible for providing the vision, strategic planning and direction in overseeing the overall operations, plans, projects and staff of the department, directly or through designated supervisory personnel, engaged in the planning, design and/or maintenance of roads, bridges, ditches, county-owned parking lots and fairgrounds in the County. Professional Engineer / Water Resources – Scott County

Performs design and review of storm sewer, culverts and stormwater ponds for construction projects for the Highway Department, assists the Natural Resources Program Manager/WMO Administrator in planning and grading permitting functions, and assists Community Planning with development reviews. MQs: Requires licensure as a Professional Engineer and four years of experience in the water resources field with extensive knowledge of hydraulics, hydrology, and watershed science. Preference given for training in erosion and sediment control measures (CPESC or MnDOT ESC certification). GIS experience desirable. The incumbent shall possess a valid driver’s license and provide a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities. Salary Range: $67,292 – $100,937-DOQ.
